The document is only
part of the story.

A closing file is also a conversation, an open question, and someone’s next step. Keep them together, so the work makes sense when you come back.

A file with
a memory.
Room for your
judgment.

The work can be brought together. The decision is still yours. Leave the next person the source, the reasoning, and what remains open.

Built around
the way a file
actually moves.

From your first look to the person who picks it up next.

Pick up where the work stands.

Keep the documents, people, and unresolved questions in context. A summary is the way into the file, not a substitute for its sources.

Ask for the thing that’s missing.

A focused request gives the next person a clear contribution to make. When it comes back, the office can review it beside the question that prompted it.

Leave more than an attachment.

Carry the basis for the office’s review forward. Keep the remaining question and the next responsibility with the work.

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Does Veto replace our escrow system?

Not by assumption. The starting point is the work your office already does. We agree where Veto fits, what stays in your existing systems, and who is responsible before live use.

What do buyers and sellers see?

The intended experience is the request or contribution relevant to them—not the office’s full workspace. The Request page shows the client’s workspace alongside the office’s view, using sample files.

Does a recorded review mean a payment is approved?

No. A record shows the office’s assessment and the material it used. An open question can remain open. The office decides; its bank executes. Veto does not approve or move funds.

How do we start?

Start with a conversation about one kind of file your office handles. The Become a design partner page helps you prepare an email to Veto. You review and send it yourself; the website does not submit it or create an account.
